Job Description

Talis Group’s client is an established and reputable large law firm located in the East End of Louisville with a primary practice around personal injury, products liability, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice and construction litigation.  Firm recently won Best Law Firm award, and is adding an Associate Attorney to their team.  This position will manage a solid volume of cases in a fast-paced environment.  Position will handle cases from inception to completion, including discovery, litigation, negotiation and potentially trial.  This firm offers highly competitive salary, benefits and a team environment.

Job Requirements

Highlighted Duties:

  • Research, investigation and initial document preparation
  • Preparation and participation in depositions and discovery
  • Medical record review and evaluation
  • Daily contact with clients, providers, adjusters, and fellow attorneys
  • Managing and directing paralegals and assistants
  • Manage case through litigation, including motions, hearings, and trial

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate and License to practice in Kentucky
  • 2-3 years of Civil Litigation experience required, preferably in Personal Injury, Medmal, Torts or similar desired.
  • Trial experience desired
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize and to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Medical record review experience
  • Persuasive written and verbal skills. negotiating experience
  • Experience with developing and participating in discovery
  • Case Management experience
