This is a direct hire position.

We are searching for talented well-rounded accounting leaders with manufacturing experience in the Louisville, KY area. Talis Group has client companies looking for strong Accountants to join their management teams to be responsible for the oversight and management of accounting functions and reporting. Responsibilities include accounting team management, reporting, effective internal controls, practices and procedures. Job Requirements

Highlighted Duties:

•         Responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s accounting and reporting functions

•         Manage, direct, train and develop a customer-service focused accounting team

•         Manage accurate and timely completion of reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries and general ledger

•         Manage a timely and accurate month end close

•         Maintain proper transactions and controls to ensure accurate costing and profit analysis

•         Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation of financial reporting

•         Responsible for reporting financials and presenting results to management

•         Develop and monitor controls for maintaining practices and procedures

•         Assist with audit and tax requirements

•         Work closely with managers to identify and execute strategic initiatives

•         Special projects as assigned

Highlighted Requirements

•         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

•         3+ years manufacturing finance experience

•         8+ years progressive accounting experience

•         Passion for continuous improvement

•         Experience successfully managing and developing accounting staff

•         MRP/ERP systems experience

•         Strong background of financial reporting and understanding of GAAP

•         Proficient in Microsoft tools, financial software and analysis

•         Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills
