This new Staff Accountant position will assist Controller by performing general accounting functions such as payroll, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, assisting with monthly close and posting accounts payable. Position will be trained to do AIA contract billing and construction job costing as well as other functions to support Controller. Job Requirements

Highlighted Duties:

  • General ledger and bank account reconciliation
  • Post accounts payable
  • Preparation of weekly reports (financial metrics, etc.)
  • Assist with monthly close
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Will be trained to assist with contract billing; prepare and process invoices
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Bachelor in accounting, related field or equivalent work experience
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience; including billing
  • Upbeat professional with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong background of financial reporting and understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to work independently and produce timely financials
  • Proficiency with Excel, construction software experience a plus
  • Excellent written, oral, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
