Position reports to the CFO and coordinates with HR to calculate and transmit all payroll and related employee benefit data to payroll service provider (Kronos). The Payroll Manager collects, reconciles and completes filings of the company’s statistical data required by regulatory agencies. Job Requirements

Highlighted Duties:

•         Transmit payroll and related data including benefits and taxes to payroll service provider (Kronos) for less than 100 employees

•         Calculate wages, maintain payroll records and related journal entries

•         Responsible for the collection and reconciliation of data to be filed with regulatory entities

•         Prepares and files all required 1099s annually

•         Maintain, reconcile and file taxes due (other than federal, state and local income taxes)

•         Compile financial, tax and payroll reports

•         Maintain compliance in areas of responsibility and mitigates risks

•         First point of contact to employees and regulatory agencies regarding payroll and tax inquires

Highlighted Requirements:

•         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent work experience required

•         2+ years advanced Payroll processing (i.e., deferred comp and local PR taxes) and accounting experience, including creating policies and procedures

•         Advanced payroll and Excel software skills, Kronos experience a plus

•         Must have exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

•         Excellent written, oral, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills

•         Motivated and flexible individual who likes variety in daily work and meeting deadlines
