Job Requirements

Highlighted Duties:

•         Prepare various pleadings and subpoenas

•         Answer discovery responses/document production

•         Request medical records via medical authorization and subpoenas

•         E-Filing, State and Federal

•         Assist in trial preparation/attend trial (sometimes outside of Jefferson County)

•         Prepare medical record chronologies

•         Enter/track billable time

•         Prepare litigation budgets

Highlighted Requirements:

•         Paralegal certification or degree required.

•         Significant litigation experience required including trial preparation, litigation document drafting such as pleadings, discovery documents.

•         E-filing experience

•         Medical records experience; must be able to prepare chronologies

•         Time management skills, as well as sense of urgency with deadlines.

•         Must have the ability to take notes, stay organized and prioritize tasks.

•         Good computer skills required.

•         References and assessment tests are required to be considered for this position.
