Job Description

Talis Group’s client is a medium sized law firm located downtown Louisville. The hiring company is looking for an Legal Assistant for their practice. This law firm offers a full benefits package, partial paid parking, and comp/flex time. Hours for this position are 9am-5pm. Ideal position for someone with prior civil litigation defense experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant. This position will support one partner


Job Requirements

Highlighted Duties:

  • Senior Level Legal Secretary skills needed for one Partner.
  • Document drafting; motions, pleadings, memos, and other legal correspondence.
  • Scheduling; manage calendars for attorneys, keeping track of court deadlines, appearances, meetings, mediations, depositions and more.
  • Electronic filing with state and federal court system.

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Professional demeanor and communication skills.
  • Ability to grasp office procedures, best practices and processes.
  • Strong skills using MS Office. Good technology skills overall.
  • Attention to detail, must strive towards high level of accuracy in work product.
  • Prior legal secretary experience in civil litigation desired.
  • Must be highly organized, efficient, accurate and confidential.
  • Professional references and assessments will be required for consideration.
  • Criminal background check required.
