Talis Group’s Louisville, KY client company is a well-established third-party logistics provider specializing in distribution and supply chain management services. Company is looking for a strong Human Resource Manager to continue a culture of excellence after a well tenured HR predecessor. The new manager will be trained by the predecessor and will report to the President. Position focuses on employee relations/engagement, benefits, performance management, ADP payroll and coordinates the performance of HR services, policies and programs. Less than 100 employees, this non-union company strives for an employee-friendly environment with market competitive compensation and benefits. Job Requirements

Highlighted Duties

  • Point of contact to employees as the lead and only HR person at the company
  • Ensure company HR policies and procedures as well as state and federal employment laws and regulations are maintained
  • Timekeeping and ADP payroll processing for 50 labor positions
  • Work with hiring managers on recruiting needs; coordinate with recruiting firms and on-board new hires
  • Employee relations assistance includes training/development and progressive discipline
  • Benefit administration including leaves of absences, 40l(k), open enrollment and troubleshooting issues
  • HR administrative duties include maintaining employee files and HR information
  • Determine issues and make recommendations to address and priorities
  • Review and implementation of HR programs, policies and standards
  • Maintain a positive organizational culture in line with the company’s values and business priorities
  • Assist with office administration as needed, i.e., ordering supplies, answering phone, etc.

Highlighted Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in HR, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of well-rounded HR experience including only HR on-site
  • Experience recruiting and onboarding new hires
  • 1+ years of payroll administration experience
  • Current knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent written, oral, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have exceptional time management, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel
  • Motivated; self-directed individual
